Eli Climbing and Sliding like a champ

Eli has been working hard on climbing up the ladders and going down the "advanced" slides at the playground. Well he's finally getting the hang of it so we wanted to show off with a little video.

While visiting Huntington last weekend, we played around in the Dance School and Jack found an adorable new friend.

Jack Cruising?!?

Driving back from Huntington last weekend (Grandmother's Birthday) was a challenge. Jack got so upset that we had to pull over in the rain. Fortunately we found an empty parking lot for a nearby park and while Jack calmed down, Eli ran off some energy. Lisa and I tried not to get too stressed out and found it pretty funny when Jack took the wheel... so of course we filmed it.

Why Eli LOVES to visit Jasper

Another lovely visit with The Roses... Lisa's Birthday, Jasper graduating from grammar school and Jasper going off to camp were the reasons this time, but we always have such a grand time every time we see them.

Why we love Dyker

One of the reasons we LOVE Dyker is because she handles everything with such a calm and an easygoing style.
On this ordinary Thursday morning, in the middle of getting everything ready - believe me there's a lot of prep to do - for a long day out with the boys, she casually stops and reads Mother Goose stories to the boys just because Eli asked. How great is that?!?

Eli was really wanting to help Jack be able to sit up by himself. After a few attempts however, we realized that it may be best if we just wait, and let Jack figure it out by himself.

Eli and Family - Car Wash!

After a long Winter we finally cleaned up our faithful little Honda Civic. We did it while visiting Uncle John and family in Huntington one warm weekend in April. Everyone in Huntington pitched in, showing Eli what to do to modest success.

First weekend on Shelter... the beach is great early in the season!


On the way to the ferry we just had to stop for a sunset dinner on the beach.

Jack and Eli just crack each other up sometimes and we love it when that happens. This night they just couldn't stop and we were lucky enough to catch some of it to share. We even caught one of Eli's first kisses.

Jack Eats Food!

Jack is now eating rice cereal. He looks at us so longingly as we chew on "real" food and you know he just can't wait. Well, the wait is finally over, and Jack is on his way to joining us at the dinner table!
