A break in Winter!

I wish I had my better camera - these "cell phone" photos will have to do...
The sun was out, it was a beautiful 50º day and Park Slope was buzzing!
Eli was back in a swing after a very loooong break. At first he just smiled, but then the sheer thrill of swinging after so long be bottled up indoors became too much and he started giggling and laughing for no apparent reason for a full 5 minutes. It was wonderful to witness. Jack and I couldn't help but laugh along - that kind of joy is contagious.
We wandered as far as we could into Prospect Park, but were blocked by paths that still had too much snow. It was a much needed break from this "real" Winter we're having this year.

Breakfast gets silly!

Somehow Jack figured out how to make this noise and thought he was oh so funny. That same morning Eli tried getting his water in ways that other animals do... you'll see.
There was something odd in the air this morning and we just went with it.

I don't know why, but I like it

This is just the guys relaxing (taking a "lollipop break") after a big day out at the Children's Museum before we go back upstairs. It's taken with my iPhone, so the quality isn't very good, but something about this picture just strikes me and makes me feel like I'm capturing them in the transition from baby to toddler. I hope you all like it too.

Snowy Brooklyn Blues

This is really our car! Also, the black, funky lower half of the snow wall around my car was solid ice created by snow plows and cars pushing the snow higher, blocking my car in. Then it snowed again and again and then rained and then the rain froze sealing it all together. Then our sweet little Honda wouldn't start, and I had to call AAA for a jump, then off to buy a new battery - OY! I thought global warming meant that Piña Colada season just got longer - Dang!!
